Test the complete flow
This is the actual working application. Its profile, posts and keyword results come from the Threads API; there are no fabricated demo results.
- Open Threads Source Desk and click “Connect with Threads”. Complete the official Threads OAuth flow with an account allowed to test this Meta app.
- The requested scopes are
threads_basicandthreads_keyword_search. After authorization, the connected username is displayed in the private workspace. - Click “Load my posts”. Review text, supported media, and the original post links. This demonstrates
threads_basic. - Enter a keyword present in a public post from the testing account and click “Search”. Select Recent or Top. This makes a real
/keyword_searchrequest. - Open an original post, then use “Use as source”. Edit a short excerpt, write commentary, and copy the citation with the author and original permalink. No post is published by this tool.
- Click “Disconnect” to clear the tool's session.
Access before approval
During development, Meta can restrict login to app-role/tester accounts and keyword results to eligible content. A test account should have a public post containing the chosen keyword. If the API returns an error or no posts, the application reports it directly. Advanced public keyword search access is the purpose of this review.
Recording checklist
Record the home page → official Threads OAuth and requested permissions → connected profile → own posts → keyword search → returned post and its original link → citation with attribution. Show these as one genuine end-to-end flow. Keep passwords and access tokens out of the recording.
